Le R�veil Des Tropiques biography
Founded in Paris, France in 2011

LE REVEIL DES TROPIQUES are a quintet from Paris, comprised of members from various musical backgrounds like post-punk, post rock, free jazz and psychedelic/space. After a few short months together, the band decided to lock themselves up for two days and three nights of extended improvising, that would end up becoming their first self-named album in 2012.

In 2014 another album containing two live recordings was released on the French label Music Fear Satan as well. The band's sound ranges from long experimental soundscapes, kraut rock like grooves and aggressive crescendos reminiscent of Can, Mogwai or Pink Floyd to some more concise and noisy numbers that may look back to the early work of Sonic Youth.
