MOONFLOWER

Moonflower was a very overrated album release. It is more a compilation album as opposed to being a studio affair although some people may beg to differ due to the inclusion of some previously unreleased material in USA/Europe. The album sold very very well and is a bit of a turn around for CS in record sales, as whilst he dabbled in beauties like Caravanserai and Borboletta nothing else really matched those releases afterwards and a more commercial sound was evolving. They were still to find their best vocalist though! ' Black Magic Woman' was a timely reminder of their earlier commercial success from Abraxas. ' She's not there' and 'Flor D Luna' other great tracks. The material is all good and at times excellent but this mix match release was good at best.
