3 stars This is another crazy, psychedelic trip courtesy of ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE.

We get started with "Pussy Head Man From Outer Space". It opens with bass followed by drums before a wall of noisy guitars come in that overshadow both. And that's what we get for the rest of the song. As attractive as the title "Pussy Head Man From Outer Space" is, I think they should have called it "Instant Headache instead". "Crystal Rainbow Pyramid" is almost 22 minutes long. It features a nice heavy beat as synths shoot off all over the place. The lead guitar is much better on this track. This guy can play when he wants to. The beat stops after 7 minutes, but then returns quickly at a faster pace. The guitar becomes noisy for about the last 4 minutes of the song.

"Electric Psilocybin Flashback" is the 40 minute closer. Strummed guitar leads the way as synths fire off in different directions. It calms down 6 1/2 minutes in as we get some sax for the first time on the album. The sax melodies with drums last for about 6 minutes and then we get some female vocals with bass and light drums. Another change 15 minutes in as bass, guitar and synths lead the way. Another calm 21 minutes in, but it's brief. Vocals return 25 minutes in before another calm 5 minutes later. Gentle guitar and synths to the end of the track.

Another far out release from ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE.
