4 stars This first album was in the mind of Ilja Kostonen for a long time, and it shows with some very mature compositions on this one hour album. The opening song is taking us into an ambient intro in the style of Lunatic Soul, the song takes another shape when the drums kick in with some flute. "The Puppet" is a much heavier track with some crunchy guitars, the usual short guitar solo and some place is left on for the keyboard in the background and upfront. "One of The Others" has a nice flow building the melody to different paces and moods with the presence of piano to contrast the heavy guitar parts. "Another Prey" is the other song that has not much to do with the Prog Metal label of that band. It develops slowly in an emotional and melancholic mood in post-rock style. "Empty Dreams" is a song where the band his displaying some nice acoustic/ electric interplay with some catchy guitar riffs. "A Glassful of Liquid Friends" is one ot the heaviest track reaching the style of Opeth in some places. This album will please a lot of progressive rock listeners because of his variety in style, not ontly the Prog Metal fans.It looks very promising for the next album that is already written.
