3 stars "Siren" is the 5th full-length studio album by UK pop/rock act Roxy Music. The album was released through Island Records (Europe) and Atco Records (US) in October 1975. Itīs the successor to "Country Life" from November 1974 and was recorded by the exact same lineup as the predecessor was.

In terms of songwriting and musical direction, "Siren" can also be considered a sibling release to "Country Life" (1974). They are both a little less wild and experimental in nature compared to the first three albums, but are still relatively adventurous and sophisticated pop/rock releases. "Siren" opens with the short and catchy "Love Is the Drug" and doesnīt really look back from there. The tracks are relatively varied in style, but thereīs still a consistency in quality and style throughout the album.

The musicianship is on a high level on all posts (loads of energetic and spirited performances) and "Siren" also features a powerful, organic, and detailed sound production, which suits the material perfectly. A 3.5 star (70%) rating is deserved.
