MOVING PICTURES

After the likes of ELP,Yes and Genesis left town Canadians Rush 'moved' in.(The album cover couldn't be more perfect!).Prog died in the late seventies and eighties right? No wrong! While ELP were donning their designer beachwear,Yes were being 'Buggled' and Genesis were widening their appeal to teenage girls thankfully there was still one band that kept their eye on the ball.

Here Rush adopted a more techno approach than before with keyboards taking a much more prominent role in the music.'Tom Sawyer' to this day is still my all time favourite Rush track with Neil Peart majestic on the drums.I love the 'switched on' lyrics as Rush tackle modern issues intellegently.In truth this band were so far ahead of anything going on at the time.
