1 stars One thing is for sure: with '' Bloody Buccaneers'', GE couldn't do any worse than with their prior album '' Keeper Of The Flame''.

Now, to be honest, this one is not a big deal either. Some average hard-rock to open ('' Making Love To Yourself''), disco-pop-rock (''Temporary Madness''), rock ballads à la Scorpions ('' Going To The Run''), some average AOR (is this a pleonasm?) with ''Planet Blue'' or '' One Shot Away?'' are now the standard for this very good band (in the seventies).

The first (and only?) interesting song is ''Joe'': it is a good and melodic rock song that seems to come out from another age. One of the worse song on the other hand is probably the title track. Some sort of tribal rock, sub-par ''Adam & The Ants''. Press next of course.

As usual, some tracks placed later in the album are better, like the fine ''In A Bad Mood''. But this doesn't apply to the weak closing track. There isn't much to say about this release: two good songs out of ten can't justify two stars. Sorry guys.
