3 stars Back when I was still a record store rat I picked this up the day it came out. Then, miracle of miracles, Tori came to a venue 70 miles from my home offering a FREE CONCERT. I went, already loving her amazing voice, piano, and songwriting gifts, and ended up even falling more in love with her as she performed to our little venue of one to two thousand people on a stage with just her piano and voice. Brave, bold, brash, confident, and supremely talented, her debut album has, unfortunately, been the only one that resonated so deeply and profoundly with me--everything else has just felt like more of the same. (If anybody else has a particularly favorite album other than Little Earthquakes, please PM me--I'd love to be prog-educated!)

Favorite songs: "Crucify"; "Precious Things"; "China"; "Me and a Gun", and; the title song.
