It was a difficult task for the band to surpass the excellent "Moving Pictures". One thing that strikes listening to the sound of this one, is how Alex's guitar has not been mixed up properly here. In fact the production is not as good as the previous albums. The first song "Subdivisions" is one of the top popular song with a irresistible melody and show a Geddy Lee playing the keyboards, a instrument very popular at that time. "Analog Kid" is another interesting track, but "Chemistry" and "Digital Man" are a bit of a disappointment. The things improve with the rest of the album and especially the semi-ballad "Losing It" with a memorable violin part. Good album despite the lack of good production.
