4 stars I reviewed their "Glissando Spirit"album from 1993 recently and this is the live version of it as played in front of a live audience in Sao Paulo Brazil in August of 1994. I definitely prefer the live version here. We get 15 tracks worth around 50 minutes of music. The sax and keys just seem to stand out more on this live version and it's pretty cool that the concert ends with the trio of DIALECT coming up on stage to play with them. Now they were called DIALECT back then but changed their name to DIALETO at some point and I do have at least one of their albums under that name. The difference though with them on stage is surprising. It goes from a psychedelic/canterbury vibe to a heavier sound with more upfront bass. There are vocal melodies too which sound really good. The track is called "Camel's Nightmare" and easily a top three.

This is a consistent record though which I appreciate. INVISIBLE OPERA COMPANY OF TIBET is part of the global GONG community of bands and features the incredible talents of Fabio Golfetti and his band VIOLETO DI OUTONO. My favourite INVISIBLE OPERA COMPANY OF TIBET album is "UFO Planante" which is a masterpiece in my opinion. This live record though is very good too just not on that level. Tracks like "Radio Gnome Intro" and "Flying Teapot" reveal their GONG appreciation. And I'm wondering with Daevid Allen gone if this project will continue. There's not a lot of vocals on here but enough to make it interesting and I appreciate the chanting and wordless vocals especially. Lots of spacey sections and atmosphere. Some sampled words too that sound like a space transmission for example. A very entertaining album and more psychedelic than anything else. Easily 4 stars.
