3 stars I received this disk as a bonus promotional item when purchasing the album "Wateshed". The flip side of the disk is a phonograph record (similar to the one I received with The Mars Volta's "Octohedron", at least TMV's disk has a turntable spindle adapter, which works on this disk) with the same track.

The song itself is a mellotron and synthesizer version of Porcelain Heart from the "Watershed" album. It is actually a cool version of the song. But then just about anything played on a mellotron just has to be cool by definition. And like the album it came with, there is little (actually no) hint of death metal.

I'd give this 3.5 stars, but since it's just a single, I'll round it down.
