3 stars DISCONNECT were on quite the run there with 5 studio albums released in those first five years but just two since with the latest in 2020. A duo with one in Maryland and the other in New Jersey they share files and make it work that way, nothing new of course. I feel the production is off on this one but you get used to it I must admit. Released n 2011 this sits between my two favourites by them "Obscuros" and "Enough Blame To Go Around" and I just feel this band is at it's best when they go into that heavy style. Not much of that on here. Lots of strummed guitar, keyboards and lighter sounds overall when compared to the albums I just mentioned. Vocals have never been great, sometimes processed here. We get 13 tracks worth around 63 minutes.

I do have a top three although I should include the 3 minute opener "Prelude" for the RUSH vibe. "Good Intentions(Part II)" is a top three and one of those tracks with processed vocals at times. Three themes are repeated. I like this one. "Singularity" is under 3 minutes but it's got some heaviness and it's an instrumental. The closer "Finale" is my final top three and that's mostly for "Discipline" KC-like guitar and also the RUSH flavour after that. "Rapture" is so cool with all that atmosphere. "For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout(my name) with the voice of the archangel(my name) and the trumpet of God..." yes it's a heavenly atmosphere here and a nice interlude.

This is a concept album but I haven't looked into it. 3 stars as it has it's moments but like I said earlier I'll take the one before and after it. More my scene.
