![]() Like a car crash waiting to happen, this one veers all over the road uncontrollably. It's played by what sounds like each member being utterly smashed during the recording. At points it devolves into 'skronk' jazz which many may find extremely irritating, but if you're in the right mood it's actually pretty good. Patrick Vian - the guitarist on 'Sarcelles Locheres' would go on to release the altogether much more friendly, completely different but still pretty strange electronic album 'Bruit et Temps Analogues' in 1976. I don't have it in my heart to give this two stars because it's so lively and 'real', straight from the heart with all 6 members playing exactly what they want, sod the consequences. There's no real skill involved and It's an unholy mess, but it's a good mess. The guitars sound like Fred Frith, the bass is Krautrock like, there's some frantic flute and the drumming is completely wayward, not to mention the Sax which is noisy in the extreme in a 'Sun Ra' manner. Oh... and as a side note the spoken rude parts were lifted directly by 'Nurse With Wound' on their 1985 cut and paste 'Sylvie and Babs' LP (which is recommended for any 'Residents' fans reading this).
