2 stars Video Hits!

I bought some years ago this DVD and actually i wanted to add it here since last year, but you know i forgot things easily for some time, but now i added it anyways. This is a DVD which contains their better known songs and videos, you can do click wth the different videos easily, it is very catchy and nice for Yes begginers.

But be careful, Greatest Video Hits doesnīt mean Best Songs ,actually here are very few of their best songs, all the videos included here are short and catchy melodies that anyone could enjoy (or not if the case) and you will be familiar with several of the songs.

This DVD also features comments and particular words of members of the band, between each Video, they talk about the video and the song which is coming next, so it is very interesting to know some of their points of view. This time you will find 12 videos, in chronological order, according to the different eraīs of Yes and itīs transition.

"Wonderous Stories", "Donīt Kill the Whale" and "Madrigal" are the only videos which belong to the 70īs decade, and the first song is the one which can be considered as a classic song of the band, as a videos, they are not that good, but nonetheless you may enjoy them sometimes.

What predominates here as you can imagine, is the era of the 80īs, the majority of their video clips were released in that time, and those were good hits but not good for prog lovers since it was a radical change in the music of Yes, songs like "Tempus Fugit", "It Can Happen", "Leave It", "Owner of a Lonely Heart" (probably the most watched video) and "Rythm of Love" are a clear example of what this DVD offers.

The last video is a nice surprise, is a live performance/video of the band playing "Iīve Seen All Good People" so actually here we can find another representative and prog song of the band, excellent to finish the DVD.

The majority of the songs on here are lack of creativity and complexity, being a fan of prog rock, this is not a good "video compillation" i would better recommend a DVD concert than this video clips, they all are nice if you like their 80īs music, my favorite songs are "Tempus Fugit", "Donīt Kill the Whale" and "Good People", but they arenīt enough to actually recommend it, so for me this would be a only for fans grade, 2 stars.
