2 stars Obviously this album causes great dissention for everyone. Unfortunate decision to unite 2nd ABWH with Rabin/Squire material because of legal dispute over "Yes" name. The ABWH material is fairly good actually but should've been finished up & released as ABWH 2. I dislike the pop-ish 90210 era stuff but their songs here aren't terrible. Bruford & Levin rarely if ever sound bad, Howe is consistent as well & Wakeman sounded best he has in years on ABWH 1. The "need" for extra session players I do not get at all. I also don't understand peoples' hatred of it as it is pretty comparable to ABWH, 90210 or any other Yes album since Going for the One so whichever lineup one prefers it's roughly as good (or bad) as any of those.
