4 stars Yes-Union: I am 17 years old and I have only been a Yes fan for about 6 months and own the albums Relayer, Classic Yes, Close to the Edge, Symphonic Yes, The Very Best of..., and Union. I figured Union was not one of the popular albums because I knew that yes was known mostly for their 70s work and that the almost anyone who had ever been in Yes was involved with this album but I put put all prejudice aside and gave this album a shot. Out of all the Yes albums that I own this is my favorite-well so is Close to the Edge. I think this is the most consistently "good" album meaning that there isn't a song that I don't like. I really enjoy this album because both Trevor Rabin and Howe are involved, thus giving the album a tasteful diversity. I absolutely love the tune "Miracle of Life" because of its strong intro and unique sound. I also really enjoy "Without Hope....". Actually I love every song up to and including Angkor Wat. I just think that Yes fans should give this album more of a chance and not dismiss it readily. It may not be the "same" as albums like "Fragile" or "Close to the Edge" but it is still really great. All in all, I think "Union" deserves more credit thatn it receives.
