3 stars This compilation was my introduction to progressive music. Obviously, it got me hooked.

The song that reeled me in was America. I was mezmerised by Jon's voice, and by the guitar and keyboard interplay in the beginning, the speed, skill and emotion of Steve's solo, and the overall tightness of the band. I heard my dad listening to this song (I was 13, four years ago) and it got me hooked.

Upon listening to the whole album, I discovered gems such as Looking Around, Time and A Word, and Survival.

America: 10/10 Looking Around: 7/10 Time and a Word: 9/10 Sweet Dreams: 6/10 Then: 6.5/10 Survival: 8.5/10 Astral Traveler: 6/10 Dear Father: 8/10

3.8/5 for the songs.

However this is a compilation, and not a very necessary one at that. Fans would be better off just purchasing the first two Yes albums. Since America is included as a bonus track on CTTE, it renders this compilation somewhat useless; for collectors. However, I'll give it an extra star because of its sentimental value.
