5 stars Close to the Edgy by YES is THE essential prog album in any collection. The songs are long, complex, and shows great instrumentation from everyone who played on the album. One of the first prog albums any new fan should listen too. Close to the edge is one of the most epic songs I ever heard. Its charming, complex, and fun, everything I look forward too in a progressive rock song. And You and I is calmer, dreamier, and a much easier listen but its still a lovely masterpiece, and Siberian Khatru is probably my favorite track on the album, its funky, fast, the bass is amazing, and the vocals are suburb. The only thing I can complain about is the album art, it definitely leaves a lot to be desired but other than that 5/5 easily.
