EPOCHE-ECLIPSE / 30 YEAR ANTHOLOGY

A superb summary (mainly) of the band's studio output from their first album right through to 1999.

Inevitably with such a massive back catalogue, there are many good tracks which are missing ("You shouldn't do that", "Gimme shelter", "Sadness runs deep" etc), and others whose inclusion is questionable (Death trap", Paranoia " etc.). All in all though there are far more positives than negatives, and it's great to have the likes of "Right to decide", "Needle gun", "Hurry on sundown" etc. in one box.

There are 2 versions of "Silver machine" included, the second being a remix. While it seems these days every collection has to have something otherwise unavailable on it, the space the remix occupies could have been better used by another classic Hawkwind track.

A worthwhile collection though, now widely available at a very reasonable price.
