EPOCHE-ECLIPSE / 30 YEAR ANTHOLOGY

This was one of the first Hawkwind albums I bought and I'm giving it five stars partly because of how many tracks there are(three discs, all packed full of excellent music) and partly because most of the tracks on this compilation are brilliant. However, its not all perfect; a few good tracks that have been left off, and a few mediocre that should have been left off(I usually just switch off the CD player when it gets to the Silver Machine remix because it just aint as good as the original). Most of the best Hawkwind tracks are included on this though, highlights for me including Magnu, Golden Void, Assault and Battery, Master of the Universe, Love In Space, High Rise, Spirit of the Age.... the list could go on! One of the high points on the album is the transition between Master of the Universe and Children of the Sun as they go into each other so well(as do Assault and Battery and Golden Void).

If you are just getting into Hawkwind, this is the album to buy for it covers their studio work very well.
