5 stars Imagine not liking this album. If god told me that I would reincarnate as a person that would not like Relayer, I would prefer to stay in ghost form. It hurts me to see this album isn't rated any higher (something like 4.5 stars or something) because it's perfect from beginning to end.

The Gates Or Delirium is not only one of the greatest Yes songs ever made, it's one of the greatest songs ever made! One of the very few times technical wanking and showing-off works excellently. The brilliance in the instrumentation and vocal work in this epic (ad the other two tracks) is truly remarkable. The ending has an amazing noodling section accompanied with one of Yes' most beautiful melodies to date.

Sound Chaser is 70's prog at its finest. Spontaneous, creative and the exact opposite of dull. The ending has some very fast instrumentation and vocal work that sounds like Gentle Giant on crack. To Be Over has a middle eastern vibe and focuses more on a melodic, ballad-like approach to end this album.

It's five stars for me. Incredibly underrated.
