FLY BY NIGHT

While much better and indeed proggier than their debut album, and also sporting a way coooler cover, FLY BY NIGHT is still not up to the later efforts of Geddy and the boys. These 2 songs Fly by Night and Best I can, show the good and the not too good of Rush. Fly By Night has become a standard of Rush for obvious reasons, while Best I Can, is a rockier, not really proggy song. ANd, boy, does Geddy really shriek on Fly by Night! Some speaker bustin' must have happened back in the day. 3 stars for the first song, 1 for the latter which averages to a 2 star rating.
