One of the best prog albums of the past 25 years. The compositions are amazing on this album. The music swings from symphonic prog to folk to classical without ever losing the continuity. Dark foreboding moments of creepy mellotron and guitar shift into beautiful warm flute and organ passages effortlessly without ruining the flow of the song. The melodies are all over the place and top notch. Most bands have a hard time coming up with 3 or 4 SONGS with a memorable melody in it while on Hybris EACh song has 3 or 4 memorable melodies on it. Incredible. The vocals while sparse are well done (in Swedish) and go well with the music. The singing is warm and melodic as to enhance the music going on around it instead of to overtake the music. Don't be surprised if Hybris stays in your CD player for many weeks. This is amazing and varied symphonic prog full of wonderful moments.
