4 stars This is a good budget priced compilation from HAWKWIND , Unfortunately the quality sound on some of the tracks is at a poor of quality, wheather this is because of rare demos and live recordings.

It features many live tracks including live versions of "Master of the Universe", "Motorhead" and "Silver Machine" which are very good heavy space rock track, but the quality in the sound is poor, I like the 1969 demo of "Hurry on SUNDOWN" it is an electrical version of the track but this is the most poorest track with poor sound quality.

An excellent budget compilation for rare recording, but may not be an ideal start to get into HAWKWIND. it has a mix of LIVE and STUDIO recordings, mainly rare.

1 stars This compilation is not only cheap but also very dull and boring! It has a very poor choice of songs, this album has no life, it is a dead album. I would advise potential Hawkwind buyers to look elsewhere and avoid this nonsense. There are many good compilations running around out there which are a million times better than this. Cheap and nasty!

3 stars This here is a nice collection of Hawkwind tracks. While not a mind blowingly accurate and complete introduction to/collection of Hawkwind, it is quite perfect enough for anyone getting into Hawkwind or just any casual listener. Of course, the music is old and so is the production so if you like that surgically clean and crystal clear sound quality, you might want to steer clear of this one. But if you don't mind a vintage sound equal to a faded Led Zeppelin T-shirt, this is a good place to start. Especially since it doesn't cost much and still offers a total of 17 tracks.

And hey, if you like this, you should love the rest.
