3 stars This is the fifth ELO compilation album. Some of the songs were already available before. Actually, this one resembles furiously to "ELO Greatest Hits" released in 1979. Five songs were already featured, so really it is a bit too much of a repetition.

I wonder how much money record companies can make with such a record ?

If you you look at the tracklist as such, it is not a bad release. The first two albums are completely ignored but I almost the whole of them have been featured on previous efforts of the genre. So, no problem with this.

Almost each of their albums from 1973 through 1979 is represented with one or two tracks. Still some blunders... To include "Birmingham Blues" from the double album "Out Of The Blue" is rather incomprehensible. There were at least seven or eight great songs to pick from. "BB" was one of the poorest of the whole.

Since I really abhored the trio "Time", "Secret Messages" and "Balance of Power", I can only be glad that only one song of those three albums is featured. But even one ("Loser Gone Wild") is too much.

This compilation is also rather short so I cannot really recommend it if you want to get a good overview of their work. Three stars because most of the numbers are good ones but if nicely selected an ELO compilation could lead to a five star rating.
