2 stars A tribute to Dream Theater. This is the first time I listen to an album that contains tribute to Dream Theater. There have always been two options in making tribute: play the music as close as possible to the original recording of the band, and make the new arrangements for the music of the band being tributed. This album falls into the first category, basically, with some of the modification that cover band has made. Even though I enjoy listening to this album, but one thing that I need to emphasize: it's probably due to I love Dream Theater, not because it's being covered. For example, when I play "A Fortune in Lies", I enjoy the guitar solo part which is different than the original version, even though the cover band (Evil Wings) does not seem to attempt new arrangements. The second track "You No Me" is performed with female voice - it makes it different in sound, even though composition-wise is similar. My favorite "Pull Me Under" is not attractive because, I believe, the production is not good compared to Images and Words production.

Overall, this set might be satisfying for those who loves Dream Theater and is willing to enjoy the songs being played by other cover bands. As a matter of curiosity, this will satisfy you. Keep on proggin' ..!

Peace on earth and mercy mild - GW
