3 stars Conspiracy or not - a good start anyway ...

This is the EP debut of an interesting US band with two studio songs plus one live track. Instrumental and flawless - post rock alike heavy guitar walls are dominant alternating with psychedelic jamming parts. A good rhythm section with the necessary pressure is serving as the background for Daryl Rabidoux's very impressive guitar work. Unfortunately the band doesn't exist anymore but their second album 'Omega' could be released at the end of 2007 anyhow after some years of confusion about the rights.

October days club is a varied piece with some speed changes - dramatic in parts but also provided with melancholic saxophone additions which are fitting perfectly. With The Summer of Andy a simple repetitive guitar sequence stays during nearly the whole song accompanied by speed rocking bass and drums. The live recorded Lines and spaces - you have to listen carefully to detect the voices of the audience - is more psychedelic afterwards with intuition and suspense.

A very good promotion and appetizer for the following full album 'The Audio Medium' - 3.5 stars.
