3 stars "Harvester of Sorrow" is a single/ EP release by US thrash metal/heavy metal act Metallica. The single/EP contains three tracks. The title track, the Budgie cover song "Breadfan" and the Diamond Head cover "The Prince". The "Harvester of Sorrow" track is taken directly off the "...And Justice for All (1988)" album and if you have that album itīs of course the two covers that are interesting. Both are well played and Metallica add their personal touch to both which is the most important thing when you play covers IMO. The "Harvester of Sorrow" single/EP is a collectorīs item more than anything though as both cover songs are more readily available on the "Garage Inc. (1998)" compilation album. The single/EP is also included in the "The Good, the Bad and the Live (1990)" vinyl box-set. The latter should probably also be considered a fan item though. Iīd call "Harvester of Sorrow" a pretty good purchase even though itīs mostly for the fans and rate it with 3 stars.
