3 stars This CD is a reissue of a 1976 compilation album, which contained about half each of the first two albums. Tracks 1 - 4 are from Storia di un Minuto, and 4 - 7 are from Per un Amico. A cd reissue seems pretty pointless - the first two albums could be issued on 1 cd and leave room for an extra track or two, so it's not exactly good value for money, plus the packaging is completely uninformative.

On the other hand, every track on here is superb, so if you've never heard PFM before and this turns up in a bargain bin it's a snapshot of the band at their best. Otherwise, buy either of the first two albums - they're equally splendid - and start from there.
