4 stars In the vein of Pelt, 500MG and others neo experimental buzzing drone ragas, GHQ is a side project formed by Marcia Bassett (guitarist, sound researcher and notorious figure of U.S contemporary musical underground) with the collaboration of Jon Truscinski and Steve Gunn. This musical project paints astonishing and highly extatic dronescapes focused on very low frequences, abrasive loops and static electric vibes. Soulful fragmented melodies can be perceived in the distance. This is really sonorous stuff, breaking off our ordinary perception of space, time and speed. Everywhere At Once features four imaginative, gorgeous and divine spacey textures that clearly explore the most hidden side of the brain. Uncompromising music to reach a higher state of consciousness. A breathtaking droney psych-folk (ish) effort. So recommended with their beautiful Cosmology of Eye.
