2 stars The album title tells us to Lose Your Mind but the song on this tells us Don't Lose Your MInd - I wish they'd make their minds up once and for all. I guarantee you will not lose your mind listening to this mash up of Rooster that focuses on the 1980 album that brought the members back for another crack at heavy prog. They had been a brilliant 70s band but missing so much of the dynamic drive with this latest album. The compilation does not do it any justice either.

A compilation of Atomic rooster among a plethora of compilations. They became a compilation band until 1980 came round and they reunited for their next album as a trio. Strange track listing here for a compilation of Atomic Rooster but the usual suspects are here such as Devil's Answer, Tomorrow Night, and Save Me. But surprisingly this comp features a lot of material not found on other compilations making this a real curio. For example there is the not so often heard Start To Live and Play it Again.

The interesting thing for those who did not get hold of their latest album at the time "Atomic Rooster '80" is many tracks come from this such as They Took Control of You, Lost In Space, Do You Know Who's Looking For You?, Watch Out, In The Shadows, and Don't Lose Your Mind. Others were unreleased such as Living Underground, and End Of The Day. So in conclusion this is a strange little comp and not one that blew my skirt up, but it is strange enough to be worth grabbing if you see it on vinyl. Once again a collectors delight, others steer clear.
