PROG REVIEWER
1 stars Timeless is yet another album by Phrozenlight that I don't view very positively. I'd say that Phrozenlight's work is divided into two catagories: albums that I really enjoy, and albums like this one.

Timeless, like the other albums that this album is coincidently indistinguishable from, contains nothing but empty, non-textured, grey drones that lack interesting qualities. In fact, this album sounds a little emptier than the other Phrozenlight albums that I've previously not been a fan of, but at least that makes it slightly different. Again, I'd like to see Phrozenlight's ambient works, like Timeless, become more thought out and interesting, or engaging in some way, like some of Phrozenlight's other albums (Beginnings, April 2006, Passion: Crucifixion & Resurrection, etc.). An inclusion of experimental resonances coming from within the dark, or cosmic sounds of splendor, or glistening synthesizer passages would all improve this work greatly, but it isn't here. This is purely non-engaging ambient droning - perhaps this is what Phrozenlight was looking to accomplish, but I personally find it unsatisfying.

Fortunately, Phrozenlight has satisfied me greatly enough in the past to make me keep interest in his work. This artist's discography is a mixed bag, but with just about any mixed bag there is bound to be something within that pleases someone.
