4 stars Grey Matter is an unknown canadian band who plays a great progressive metal with fusion elements. Excellent work by the band with a lot to offer, some very intristing chops, strong guitar lines and fabulous druming. They released a single album , totaly instrumental in 2000 named Long distance singer. Very hard to find album, but if you get it, highly recommended. Similar with Anomaly (Holland), Plant X. Stunning musicianship, great ideas, and strong writting. All the pieces are super, not a weak moment here, specialy Leave or Oyagaa are killer. The fusion arrangements are so well melted with the progressive metal ones, that in the end the album is a real pleasure to listen. Awesome work by this band who didn't manage to make any ripples around them, strange because the music they offer is very strong and inventiv. Recommended for sure.4 stars, that means , almost essential work in this field, very good and damn catchy tunes.
