2 stars Released by respected Mellow Records label it is nothing more than a poorest quality audience recording. Perhaps better BANCO records of this period either don't exist or are still undiscovered.

There are some mysteries though. CD booklet reads: ''Recorded in Modena, 27.12. 1970''. But according to BMS official website Nocenzi brothers met 3 members of LE ESPERIENZE (singer Francesco Di Giacomo, Renato D'Angelo (bass), drummer Pierluigi Calderoni) and FIORI DI CAMPO guitarist Marcello Todaro in May 1971 at II Festival Pop di Caracalla in Rome and invited them to join BANCO.

There was also first Festival Pop di Caracalla in October 1970 and theoretically Nocenzi bros could meet musicians of LE ESPERIENZE and FIORI DI CAMPO there. But other sources confirm that musicians met in 1971, so more likely CD information is incorrect and this BANCO gig took place in the second half of 1971 or even in early 1972 (in 1970 BANCO was a completely different band with different sound, just listen to ''Donna Plautilla'' album).

Anyway it is probably the earliest known record of classic BANCO line-up made before (or soon after) their groundbreaking debut album. It contains previously unreleased song ''Polifonia'' and three longest tracks from the band's first LP.

Nothing's wrong with music here, it's excellent, it's pure prog, but the sound is too poor even for a bootleg. Records like this are good for free downloads, but not for commercial use. If you are a die-hard fan and find this CD in an a bargain bin you can give it a try, otherwise better spend your money for something else. 2 stars - first for sound quality, second for historical meaning.
