3 stars Providence Falls is an obscure progressive band with one album released so far in 2012 named On the edge of Uncertainty. Well, this is a fine melodic prog rock who rely more on guitar and vocal department. The guitar parts are quite great on every tune, the keyboards appear sporadicaly and works fine in this context. As their bandcamp page said "these ten original songs were actually crafted and recorded over an 8 year time span". Besides 8 pieces with voice, there are 2 instrumental ones with nice well crafted passges. Not very much is known about the band, the album is available only in digital format on their bandcamp page, album download includes a PDF E-Booklet containing all the album artwork and lyrics. All in all pleasent most of the time, on the melodic side of prog mainly towards crossover prog quite similar with Big Big Train around 1997-2004. 3.5 stars
