PROG REVIEWER
5 stars Math-grindcore, eh? Well, it's loud, it's fast, it's complex, the vocalists combine the worst and/or best of death and black metal growls, doesn't sound too close to the rest of metalcore, I once again have to mention how your friend's tech death garage band isn't as mathy as this... and there's also room for lulls and quieter run ups. Works for me. The vocals, by their very nature, are terrible, but more listenable than Johnny Rotten, so go team. Otherwise, the guitars and drums are flawless, with the former grinding, soloing, and paeaning all by turns, and always excellently. Aside from the loud, angry, demonic eruptions of mathgrind power, there are, yes, calmer sections and even calmer openings. It's spectacular. This even at one point, "Russian Pharmaceuticals", results in good vocals that take a step back from lung imploding screaming. That track and "Thunder Squirrel" stand as the titans on this album. Pretty unique and great, I've rounded up a 4.5 for this neat piece of metal.
