PROG REVIEWER
3 stars Benjamin Kantschieder aka Three Suns comes from Vienna, Austria. His material is available via Bandcamp the pay what u wish mode.

I have been listening to 2 of his 2014 releases, an album and this EP I am reviewing. Somehow this self titled "Three Suns" EP caught my attention and serves well as an introduction of this project to the electronic proggers interested.

A well threaded effort consisting of 3 compositions, one edited from the "Abalone" album and the other 2 unreleased.

As you will notice in the Bandcamp's and PA's bios the comparison between Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze and his music seems apparent, at least in ink. But that is exactly what turned my attention to this EP, those comparisons although inevitable, do no justice to what he brings as his own to this "electronic prog table".

The three compositions outstand, surprisingly, because they are totally unpretentious yet Benjamin Kantschieder has absorved quiet well his likings to the point of transfiguring those into his own evolving musical idiom and keeping a safe distance from the same.

***3.5 "will not dissapoint u" PA stars.
