3 stars Methodica is an quite unknown progressive metal band from Italy with 2 albums released so far. Their second album named The Silence of Wisdom issued in 2015 is on same level with the debut, is towards great.

I like this kind of prog metal they offer, intense, well played and composed with ghreat and complex passages, but I guess suffers in sound, to muddy in places for this type of music, but not entirely bad in the end. Long pieces, well develeoped, good towards great duelings between guitar and keybords makes from this album an enjoyble ride. Skilled musicians who knowns how to handle instruments and create something worth investigate by prog metal fans. Above that the singer Massimo Piubelli has an excellent voice, very warm who fits perfect in this kind of music, very passionate and with great range, a real great vocalist.

Very good and in front are the bass lines, Alessandro Brisco done a good job here, showing that he means bussines when he put the hand on his instrument. Forte tracks,The Lord of empty space, solid rhytmic section with blistering guitars and excellent voice, the rest are almost in same vein, no time for respiro here - to be checked The angel lies dying. A band that for sure is needing attention and an eye to what will they release in the future, because they know bussines in this domain. Similar with USA prog metal band and one a realy love Mindwarp Chamber and germans Vanden Plas. 3.5 stars for sure
