4 stars ENDLESS VALLEY is a new Brisbane, Australia based psych prog outfit, a collective being in an ever-evolving state of flux. What unites the particular members, they are emphatically referring to mystic ethno/world spheres, in concrete the sacred Nayivada which is governed by limitless possibilities ... 'perhaps a representation of how pure Earth could be ...', the band emphasizes. Or alternatively in my words: what real socialism should be. However, in any case a distant society that especially lead singer Luna travels to in her dreams again and again. Regarding the production of this album the band is consisting of six core members, where the compositions are contributed by brothers Brad (bass) and Cavell Schipp (guitar). Danceable rhythmic grooves are present in the same way as ethereal and hypnotising moments.

The extended opener Cellar Door proves this as no other. According to their conceptional approach, by all means they are able to provide a somewhat otherwordly atmosphere within their music. Iniated by some clarifying human speech and decorated with native touch, could this be considered tending towards Aboriginal Rock too? Because they have the intention to tell a story here, male and female speech respectively vocals are ruling everywhere around, partially served with rather unusual expression. The closing Biophilia comes with jazzy imprints due to a clarinet included. Tribal drums, alternating mood, melancholic guitars alongside with twittering birds in many places. They are somehow expressing that unity of man and nature is still an alternative, just go for it! 'Nayivada' is an enjoyable album, just for a concise comparisn provided with glimpses of Hidria Spacefolk, Flower Travellin' Band, Goat, definitely unique and entertaining.
