4 stars Do we need this when we also have Real Time, from a few months prior, also capturing Van Der Graaf Generator's classic lineup as they toured for the Present reunion album? Mmmmaybe, maybe not; the set list is extremely similar, after all. Then again, a few more months on the road seems to have added a little pep to the step of the Present material, and the classic songs on the setlist are evergreens which it's always good to hear. On balance, I'd say that if you only really need one live album from Present-era VdGG, either this or Real Time will do, and since Real Time was on the recent boxed set of the reunion-era material (Interference Patterns) that means most listeners will be best advised to go for that, but if you love VdGG enough to want to double-dip on a particular era of their live performances then both albums are worth it.
