2 stars I got this DVD on the special edition of my "Kinaporin Kalifaatti" copy. Well, i don't want to repeat myself to increase my number of reviews on Progarchives - ooooh, what a liar ! - but this product is as faithfull to the cd as it is diappointing for the ones who liked so much "Käärmelautakunta" (and, damned, they were right !). Five little tracks showing the Alamaailman Vasarat's new line up (including Tuomari Nurmio) and no trace at all of older material. You were warned, folks.

4 stars I liked this short concert DVD packed up with the "Kinaporin Kalifaatti" CD a lot, but I guess that this music is accessible and directed mostly to Finnish audiences. I also disliked the "crazy" material Alamaailman Vasarat did on their own, so this teaming up with Tuomari Nurmio has balanced the music to fit my own tastes better. "Kuu Kulkee Hiljaa" is my personal favorite track on this concert capture, the band concept resembling in my opinion an acoustic version of King Crimson double trio from 90's. Sadly missed these shows from the local stages. From Tuomari Nurmio I could recommend checking out "Korkein oikeus" album performed live with a trio, which was described on a local magazine as "King Crimson and Black Sabbath fighting on Köyliönjärvi's lake ice". Also his "Hullu Puutarhuri" album experimented with off-time playing brass band terrorist acts.

3 stars Short 5 tracks DVD coming with the the album, and it is a better release (although I've yet to see it as a separate entity for sale) than Kinaporin Kalifaatti. Although very similar to the Cd, the music gains a lot from beeing seen played. Especially when it comes to the two cellists. Taken from two different festivals, the middle tracks I find are the better ones. Mr Tuomari Nurmio has a good stage presence, but his "songs" unfortunately take away some of AV's previous greatness.
