1 stars Here go the oddball eyeballs again releasing everything they put to music (music?). This is one of the oddest ones in their discography, and thank goodness it is only an E.P.

Back in 1999, The Residents released a great album with a great concept called "Wormwood" which is basically some of the Bible's strangest stories set to music and threw these mostly ignored stories into the faces of the devout believers. There was the usual tour to promote that album and during the intermission from this show, there was this really strange music played which was instrumental electronic music (by The Residents themselves) which served as a base for snippets of carefully selected old gospel records played over the top of this music, a lot of the gospel music is processed to sound warped, odd, or just plain scary evil. Yep, that's The Residents for ya.

This is simply just a novelty and not much more. If you went to the concert and just needed something over and above the DVD or the CD to be reminded of what fun you had, I guess this might help out with your warped yearnings. Otherwise, it's just silly and gets old very quickly. I suppose it's not easy to find, so don't waste your time unless you are a completionist, which if you are, then good luck finding the majority of their discography. But they definitely made much better albums than this.
