UncrosseD biography
UNCROSSED are a extreme/tech prog metal band from Russia.Formed in 1997,they borrow their structuring and theoretical hints from bands that aren't necessarily in the standard scope of progressive metal the way most of its die-hard fans know it.In 2000 the band released their demo "Liquid Air",and in 2002 turned their full-length debut "DELetio" loose on the world.

UNCROSSED have learned not to sever the abrasive edge of their music, but to use it as a springboard to involve other genres into their progression, mainly by taking cues from three central bands - ATHEIST,MESHUGGAH and CYNIC.The odd time changes and unique vocals that MESHUGGAH comprised, along with ATHIEST'S often groove-grind awkwardness and CYNIC'S jazz-flavored death metal make for an interesting combination, and one that UNCROSSED pulls off perfectly.

Highly recommended for all Tech/Extreme Prog Metal fans.

3 stars First of all, I've never been a fan of Tech/Extreme Metal, I like Experimental/Post-Metal much more. But UNCROSSED deserve to be rated, they've released a nice little album and it surely has its moments. Surely the record quality is average to say the least, it fails to reflect all the emotions musicians tried to express with their work. "Prog" side of the album is not that much noticealbe, but you'll recieve some crunchy insane riffs and odd signatures, don't worry. CYNIC, ATHEIST, MESHUGGAH fans would definitely like it, but even for them UNCROSSED can hardly be a sensation. Good but definitely non-essential record.
