Morrigan biography
The band MORRIGAN has been existing for ten years now, and has been frantically polymorph. The only constant thing about it is its fondness for PROGRESSIVE ROCK, which is the style that MORRIGAN has been faithful to since the very beginning. MORRIGAN is no doubt about it the result of a prohibited union between ANGE's theatrical vocals, bluesy hard-rock and PENDRAGON like neo progressive.

In 1995, Merlin met FISH (former singer of MARILLION) and they became friends. In 1999, he has been invited by the big man to record vocals on the marathon track "Plague of Ghosts" on the album "Raingods with Zippos". Their friendship keeps on growing! MORRIGAN released a first album "Chroniques d'Ici-Bas" (1999) of seven tracks with a perfect interpretation. The criticisms have been quite good.

3 stars The French band MORRIGAN in his second disk "Respirer" presents a mixture of prog rock with hard" pinches|" , folk and barrock music. Tends with their main influences fellow citizens of ANGE & MONALISA with their dramatic vocalizations , GENTLE GIANT and their medieval passages (in some tracks proportionate for the invited musicians, the track 2 "Imortel" is a beautiful example of this). The hard-prog comes in a clear way for instance in the track 1. I detach still some passages with clear oriental inspiration (Arabic) and beautiful moments of acoustic guitar. I detach the tracks 1, 2, 3 (with his section of syncopated rhythm). However the disk doesn't get to cause the necessary impact to receive a great quotation. And due to that my rate is 3 stars!!!
