SWEET MOTHER LOGIC are a new post rock band from Montréal, Canada, consisting of a quintet heavy on the cellos, the vintage synths and an unconventional approach. So far they have released one EP and one full studio album, both of which are available for streaming on Bandcamp.

SWEET MOTHER LOGIC play a very eclectic but seamless brand of post rock, based on a rich and beautiful sound provided by piano, acoustic guitar, strings, brass and even harp, which puts them in relation to BELL ORCHESTRE or TORNGAT. The music flows from slower and melancholic to faster and melancholic, propelled by a steady rhythm section. Sometime the band settles in a tight groovy style that reminds of TORTOISE or PIVOT. Space rock, free jazz, electronica or classic rock are all hinted at. Overall, its genre-defying progressive approach and immaculate beauty make the music of SWEET MOTHER LOGIC highly recommended.
