Keith Fullerton Whitman biography
Starting out listening to the radio in the 80s, Whitman felt music drawing him in from an early age. Maybe it was this that intrigued him to study music at Berklee College of Music, either way he got introduced to modern electronic music and computers, composition and synthesis.

Real name is Keith Fullerton Whitman, but artistically he has had many a names including the endemic word for Croatian Hrvatski as well as the more mundane ASCIII. Everything about Whitman seems rooted in the shadow side of life, and while he has released several albums on labels such as Planet Mu, Kranky, Carpark Records ? the emphasis of the man?s current work is directed at his own labels Entschuldigen(German word for apology) and prior to that the now defunct Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge.

Musically Whitman weaves frantically around in all kinds of intangible and obscure sound manipulations - spanning from IDM, glitch, drone, ambient and Krautrock to the more esoterically infused drill and bass that in return sounds unlike many of his contemporaries.

Today he runs Mimaroglu Music Sales that in true tradition to the man?s rep follows his passion for the underdog world of music occupies itself with the distribution of sonic avant-garde releases.

— First review of this album —
4 stars The dark side of the Berlin school of electronic music.

As I have commented in other reviews the super famous Berlin School had its underground church in one of its founders´ hands (& mind) counter culture / anti-artist and mastermind Conrad Schnitzler, who also spawned his own flock of notable students such as Keith Fullerton Whitman.

"Amposta Generators b/w Lleida Generators" (2018), takes noise & pulse driven electronic music dynamics to raw sophistication without sacrificing a drop of originality nor creativity, thus leaving no space for impros or aleatory music solutions to the whims of luck, even though its atmospheres are deeply inserted in the Concrete Music and Avant/Prog Electronic music realms.

This 2 track album displays shamelessly Mr. Whitman´s abilities both as composer and performer.

Such a delight to listen to original and inspired contemporary electronic music, in this contexts, which is both daring as groundbreaking in an electronic music world where almost everything has already been groundbroked to a zillion pieces and made it almost impossible to distinguish one composer from the other unless, of course, you actually posses your own composer language as Mr. Whitman does.
