Kerygmatic Project biography
KERYGMATIC PROJECT was born in 1998, created by Samuele TADINI, Danilo NOBILI and Marco CAMPAGNOLO, with the purpose of composing original music that recover in style and construction the great British progressive rock tradition of the seventies and eighties, renewed tradition with a new key able to embrace different styles, so as to constitute an original sound well recognizable. The KERYGMATIC PROJECT compositions are affected, in fact, from the contributions of various genres taken by rock, pop, jazz, fusion and classical music compositions, by proposing that, in fact, could hardly be categorized in a precise genre and that are the result a well-defined philosophy.

According to a definition that seems appropriate, the KERYGMATIC PROJECT can be seen as the fresh expression of prog & pop music, a term coined by the group, as they are among the few to have put in a cohesion not cloying, but well balanced, what a pleasant and non-trivial drifts from pop music with art-rock, which comes from the progressive tradition.

The choice to organize themselves as a trio, giving much of the keyboards, there is only one element that can remember EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER, but also the most characteristic expression of someone who wants to do with essential something that transcends it.

Some of the admirers of the group, use to call it as an EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER style trio, with a sound and character very similar to the GENESIS COLLINS period era, but with an originality all its own.

The KERYGMATIC PROJECT, while not ignoring the great Italian tradition of PFM, BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO and LE ORME, just to mention some significant examples, prefer to use the English language. The internationality and the musicality of the language, make English the language chosen for compositions which are channeled in a tradition that, initially, as we already mentioned, has its own origins in England between the end of the 60's and the early 70's.

PHILOSOPHY
The KERYGMATIC PROJECT philosophy is very simple: no prejudice and no party involvement. Rationality, emotion and the Christian faith, exercised in a context of respect for the person, become determined element for a creativity that is free to roam anywhere, but well aware of the need to refer to those absolute values which are based on truth and not on nothing.

The KERYGMATIC PROJECT music is therefore an expression of a language universally effective which has many shades and colors. ...

3 stars Kerygmatic Project's lates album to date named Chronicles from Imaginary Places , issued in october 2017 is another worthy album from their catalogue, at least for me. I like this band and this latest album together with Greek stars gallery are their best so far. Again same attitude as on Greek stars gallery, this time, the pop elements are left aside, and the sound and overall compositions are far more tighter and intresting as on previous two albums, symphonic/neo prog as must sound these subgenre, romantic feel typical for italian school, but aswell the instrumental sections are pretty good, no complains from me. I like a lot how keybordist Marco Capagnolo manage to create some quite top keyboards parts, really good, diverse and with memorable parts, I do not know why this band, is so unknown, because all 3 musicians involved are surely talented. The voice of Tadini , little similar in parts with Collins type of voice, is decent and is integrated perfectly in the overall sound. The druming is good, no boring moments at all. The music something a la Le Orme, Banco, PFM, Genesis (around Then there were three, Duke era) all done in Kerygmatic Project style. All pieces are strong, there are plenty of instrumental sections, even an instrumental track well performed, with quite tasty passages.

Well, a good towards great album, has plenty of memorable passages, prog fans might take some spins worth it. I like this band, I do not know why so many complains about, this is better than many of its contemporary 3.5 stars with out hesitation, nice art work, nice digipak. Kerygmatic Project desearves more fore sure.

3 stars An Italian trio from Stresa, which was gathered in 1998, the guys were namely Samuele Tadini on bass/vocals, Danilo Nobili on drums and Marco Campagnolo on keyboards/piano.With this instrumental set-up they had been often compared to Emerson, Lake & Palmer as well as Collins-era Genesis. However over a decade would pass before they recorded their first album ''Nothing but truth'', propably a limited CD edition, as there were no physical copies left, before the band came to attention of Prog fans.No dissapointment though, as the Italians were ready for another album in 2012, recorded at Dreamer's Lake Studios in Carciano di Stresa, ''Greek stars gallery'', released in 2012 and taken over by Ma.Ra.Cash Records.

Kerygmatic Project won't ever win a prize for their inventive, complex or original arrangements, their style is definitely rooted in 70's Classic Prog, adding a dash of Pop in the process and coming up with a sound close to Neo Prog and Symphonic Pop.The sound is fairly keyboard-centered and the man behind the equipment, Marco Campagnolo, is armoured with synths, an organ and both an acoustic and electric piano to deliver these dreamy, imaginative and melodious textures, that characterized Kerygmatic Project's music.I'd say that GENESIS just before facing the 80's along with STEVE HACKETT's more poppy leanings from his 70's offerings would be the best descriptions, no actual E.L.P. references in here, apart from the rare cases Campagnolo comes up with more Classical-drenched keyboard themes. All lyrics are written and performed in English, showcasing the band's strong links with British Prog. Most tracks appear to be quite long, but do not get fooled searching from multi-parted arrangements, the music here is ethereal, melodic and relaxed with a good bunch of symphonic tendencies and a positive aura, led by the smooth piano lines, the flashy but balanced keyboards and the discreet organ. They actually even deep into something like a ballad-style of playing, but the dominant symphonic background on keyboards prevent them from becoming too accesible or commercial.

Decent album by these Italians.Far from complex and mostly simulating 77'-80'-period GENESIS.Melodic and interesting stuff with fine arrangements.I hardly see this going on the top of anyone's list of 2012 albums, but I can see many people enjoying this from the first till' the last minute.Recommended.

3 stars One of the good bands coming from Italy is Kerygmatic Project and their second release Greek stars gallery from 2012. A well produced symphonic/neo prog with that typical italian feel , with romantic atmosphere both on keyboards and in lyrics department. This second album sounds much more progressive then their first recording, Greek stars gallery delivers some intresting passages, specially from keybordist Marco Capagnolo, who has some top notch passages like on The academy, There's no ground for complain, in fact all pieces are more then ok, even lacks in originality in some parts. The voice of Tadini who is also the bass player fits ok in the musical context and has some nice bass works on couple of pieces. The guitar appear sporadicaly in some tunes, this is the type of prog who reminds me of italian school of course from the glory days and aswell has some Floydian moments here and there. Well, a good towards great album, has plenty of memorable passages, fans of crossover prog with hints of neo here and there might take some spins worth it. 3.5 stars
