Zierler biography
Finn Zierler - Born Feb 29th, 1972 (Horsens, Denmark)

Zierler is Finn Zierler, founder of BEYOND TWILIGHT who made a impact in 2006 with his 43 pieces album "For the Love of Art and the Making". Finn played accordion at 6 years of age, was performing live at 8 years and wrote his first classical symphony at 12 years of age. The albums of BEYOND THE TWILIGHT became classics in the genre Progressive Metal. Zierler playing keyboards has founded his new band with Bobby JARZOMBEK, drums (Rob Halford, Fates Warning, Arch/Matheos, Sebastian Bach, Iced Earth), Per NILSSON,guitars and bass(Scar Symmetry, Kaipa), Kelly SUNDOWN CARPENDTER,vocals(Beyond Twilight, Epysode, Outworld) and Truls HAUGEN, vocals and bass live (Insense, Circus Maximus). He began the songwriting in 2009 and the recording in 2010 and the album "ESC" was finally released in 2015. The music is a natural evolution with his previous band showing complex and intense Progressive Metal not too far from a band like DEVIN TOWNSEND, A.C.T. and SYMPHONY-X.

Zierler Progressive Metal

4 stars Finn Zierler is known for the genius behind some great Beyond Twilight's music in 2006 has decided to prepare another ambitious project almost ten years later with the help of reputed musicians from various metal bands. The results are a continuity of Beyond Twilight with a lot of surprising twists and turn, plenty of symphonic arrangements, huge guitar riffs, versatile keyboards lines and also a wide range of vocals tones from the screaming to the clean ones. We have to wait for the third song to have a little breather with a short piano part. If the vocals are very busy here, there are some serious instrumentals parts throughout . There is a theatrical sense and a soundtrack kind of sound on the whole album, just if we were listening to a majestic piece of music that needed a lot of attention to appreciate the details displayed in this complex music. There is an impressive balance between the brutal passages and the more delicate ones and the influences from a lot of Progressive Metal bands are obvious but with the personality of the band, it doesn't sound like a pale copy. If the music including the way the vocals are presented will remind you of Ayeron, Evergrey, Symphony-X and Devin Townsend, the unpredictable flow of the music will excite you so mush that you will need to relax a bit after this 72 minutes ride.
Thanks to rdtprog for the artist addition. and to Quinino for the last updates
