PERDITA DEL TEMPO

First album of this italian prog metal team from 2007. Very unknown prog metal band even for italian scene, but with some help from us and some luck they will, or maybe thy will make some noise around these days, or at least we hope. The music they play is nothing groundbreaking or original, but has good moments and most important is not boring at all. It's hard to come with something original today, at least they've tried not to be a copy/paste band, and release a good album, with nice shifts between guitar and keys, with nice arrangements. The weakest thing here is the voice of Massy, well not quite bad , but totaly unintristing for my taste, only the instrumental passages counts for me on this album. So not a single piece is in front, all has the same level, so no big hits here. All in all a good album, nothing special but enjoyble. 3 stars for this unknown italian prog metal band. Similar bands Ulysses from Holland or Fragile Vastness from Greece.
