WilloW biography
WILLOW were formed in August 2000 in Maggianico, Lombardy (northern Italy) by Massy and Daniele. They started out under the name of "Shore Dreams", and wrote the band's first original tracks, "The Flower" and "Fly in the Dream", before drummer Giampaolo joined them in 2001. Their first live performance dates from May of the same year.

In 2002 Giampaolo was forced to leave the band by personal issues, and was temporarily replaced by Samuele, formerly with MOTHER-IN-LAW. A few months later Roberto (drummer with ZENOBIA) and Vittorio (bassist with MELANCHOLY SOUL) joined WILLOW. In 2003 Roberto too left due to personal reasons, to be replaced the next year by Filippo, a very technically gifted drummer that gave the band a definite progressive rock orientation - as did new bassist Joey (formerly with ANOTHER CODE and SPIRIT CRUSHER), who joined the band later in 2004 to replace Vittorio.

In 2006 WILLOW filmed their first videoclip, "Brucia la strega", directed by Fabrizio Fogliato. In January 2007 founding member Daniele was replaced by another former ANOTHER CODE member, gifted keyboardist Fabrizio. Their first album, "Perdita del tempo", was released in July 2007. In the spring of 2008 the band played in Milan as a support act to renowned guitarist KIKO LOUREIRO's instrumental trio.
